Ballet flats are flat stylish shoes with really thin heels or no heels at all. It is derived from the Ballerina's flat ballet shoes.
Brief History
The flat shoe can be traced to ancient Egypt where the women wore flat sandals braided from papyrus leaves, sometimes with jewels added for a bit of bling. Audrey Hepburn brought the flats to fashion again in 1957.
Presently, your wardrobe is not complete without a pair of Ballet Flats. They are fashionable and trendy and have been a constant for a number of years. They are also very comfortable and convenient.
Pump and Circumstance says it all
The ballet flat is smart enough for the board room, practical enough for the school run, and sassy enough to wear out on the town. They’re comfortable in the country (think long skirts and wrap tops). And cool enough for the city (think skinny jeans, minis and opaques). Ballet flats are comfy but never boring. They’re sensible and still sexy. And they come in heaps of colours. What’s not to love?
