# 3 - Rocking Your Greys

Grey was a big hit on the Runways as a colour trend for 2010. It is cool and practical while remaining elegant. If you have greys in your wardrobe, now is the time to bring them out.

Some fashion designers who incorporated grey into their designs for 2010 are Gucci, Valentino and Donna Karan.

Combine with a Dark Colour

Keep both the top and the bottom dark so that the grey gets the attention. Throw in a dash of colour with a bright clutch.

You need to be careful with this one.
  • Keep the prints cool.
  • Avoid loud colours.
  • Pick something that has a greyish undertone
  • Avoid vintage prints and go with more currents trends
You could throw in a grey belt to accessorize and a dark jacket to cool things down a little.

Shiny Fabrics

Because grey is so cool, it is often considered a nude colour. As such, you can wear it with any colour that you can comfortably combine with a nude. Shiny fabrics go very well with a lighter shade of grey. The grey will not compete with the fabric and the overall effect is quite elegant.

Different Shades of Grey

Combine shades of grey for a really sophisticated look. Try as much as possible not to exceed three shades.

The Grey Top

Pick a top in the same shade of grey and wear on a deep, true coloured pair of pants or shorts.
