Gladiator sandals have been a recurring trend for several seasons. They come in different shapes and styles. From really high heels to really flat flats, they are an essential wardrobe item for the 'it' girl.

They are one way to look instantly trendy and sophisticated but getting the right look is a bit tricky. Since they range from ankle-high, to knee-high (and everything in-between), choosing the right style is very important.

Here are a few tips to help you rock your pair of Gladiator sandals.

5 Ways to Rock Your Gladiators

1. With a Dress

Short, flirty, figure-hugging...a dress seems to be the way to go with the Gladiator shoe. One thing to note: keep it short. It could either hug your figure or be A-line in shape; whatever style you choose, keep the hem above the knee.

2. Skinny Jeans

They are huge this season and seem to go with almost any shoe. If you do not have a pair in your wardrobe, hit the nearest mall (or store).

3. Shorts

This ensemble is rather formal. Keep it casual with an ankle-length Gladiator shoe and a fitted tee or tank top.

4. A Short Skirt

5. The Toga

The Gladiator shoe was made for the toga - right from the times of ancient Rome. It is a marriage made in heaven. If you have a toga and are wondering what to wear with it, pair it with Gladiator shoes and you are fashion ready!
